Eric Campbell's style is briiliant; fascinating, insightful, informative, funny and heartbreaking. He is easy to read and gives an amazing account of a foreign correspondent in some of the world's most dangerous yet interesting places. A great read for all, especially young people trying to understand world current events.
An absolutely eye-opening read! Once i started it i didn't put it down for 2 days. I enjoyed the writing style of Mr Campbell and by the end felt like i understood a little bit more about some of the crazier part of the world. Really makes you look at humanity in another way... Would recommend it to anyone without hesitation.
Campbell, ABC Correspondent, finally gets his coveted overseas assignment and is able to leave the shores of Australia. Assigned to cover places like Russia, Belarus, China and several of the '-stans' he has a brush with death which makes him re-think his thirst for adventurous war zones.
Readable travelogue that will have seasoned globe-trotters nodding their heads in recognition while armchair travelers laugh and raise their eyebrows in amazement.
I randomly bought this art based on the cover (not lost on me), and it may be the most interesting/readable book I've read. Given it to several others, whom feel the same. It's a quick, great read.

This book was a great read. I enjoyed it from beginning to end. I had a hard time putting it down. The author has an interesting story to tell and does it well. I was sad to finish it. Highly recommended!
